1xBet’s Sergey Karshkov passes away following a tragic medical incident

The gaming industry mourns the loss of Sergey Karshkov, the renowned Russian Founder of the popular online bookmaker, 1xBet. Founded in 2007 and based in Cyprus, 1xBet is an online gambling company that holds a license from Curaçao eGaming License.

At the age of 42, Karshkov tragically passed away in Switzerland after a medical mishap that left the community in shock.

The news was initially disclosed by Pavel Muntyan, a producer at the esteemed Russian animation studio Toonbox, who took to Facebook to express his profound disbelief.

According to reports, Karshkov’s untimely death was a result of an allergic reaction triggered by the MRI fluid administered during a medical procedure. This unforeseen reaction plunged him into a coma from which he unfortunately never recovered.

Born in Ukraine’s Kyiv region in 1980, Sergey Karshkov later relocated to Bryansk, Russia. He established himself as a prominent figure in the regional department of Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he led the department responsible for combatting cybercrime.
