Arsenal are looking to make it four Premier League wins in a row for the first time since October 2018 when they welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have finally hit a good run of form under previously under-pressure boss Mikel Arteta, while Palace have struggled for consistency and are one point worse off than their London rivals.

A revitalised Arsenal head into this Premier League (PL) clash on the back of four consecutive competitive wins, each of which saw them score first. They’ve lost only one league game when striking an opener (W7, L1), but with both teams scoring in each of the last six PL H2Hs, there could be a few twists right up to FT.

In addition, each of the last 12 league encounters have witnessed goals in both halves, and the ‘Gunners’ are yet to keep a home clean sheet in the league this campaign. However, the drama might unfold slowly, as the Emirates Stadium is the only venue yet to witness a PL goal inside the opening 15 minutes this season.

Unbeaten in a club-record four PL H2Hs vs Arsenal (W1, D3), Crystal Palace have already scored more first-half goals (12) this term than they managed all last season. However they often concede late, notably letting in 11 (64.71%) of 17 second-half PL ‘goals against’ after the 75th minute.

The ‘Eagles’ haven’t kept a PL clean sheet away all season, but their record of avoiding defeat in 42.86% of away league matches entered as outsiders this campaign is encouraging. So too is the fact that the South Londoners have won the second half 1-0 in three of their last five PL visits here (2H: W3, D1, L1).
