The tournament, which promises to be an exciting spectacle, aims to provide an avenue for young talent to shine and promote a sense of togetherness among residents. The idea for the tournament was conceived by the youthful lawmaker, known not only for his controversial style of governance but also his commitment to empowering the youth and enhancing the lives of his constituents. Speaking at the launch event, the two-term MP emphasised the importance of engaging young people in positive endeavors. “Today we officially Launched the Embakasi East Pool Table Tournament at Utawala ward. The Tournament will take place in Embakasi Ward, Utawala, Mihang’o, Upper Savanna, and Lower Savanna wards. One man practicing sportsmanship is far better than 50 preaching it. Pool is not just a game; it’s a sport that requires strategy, precision, and discipline. Through this tournament, we aim to provide a platform for our young residents to showcase their skills and potentially discover hidden talents.” Among the guests present during the launch of the pool table tournament is Bunge la Mwananchi President Calvince Okoth aka Gaucho. The tournament launch was met with enthusiastic support from the community. The competition will feature various categories to accommodate players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
