Bwanika Mansoor and Mutesi Rashidah wins the 2021 billiard championship organized by the Pool Association of Uganda (  PAU ) over the weekend with a fight between the legendary Gumikiriza Alfred ( Blacksheep ) and Rashidah out smarting the Super lady in the sport Nampeebwa Justin. The event was played for three days with 128 number of competitors on the men side and 32 ladies.

The former National Billiard champion of the year 2018 Bwanika Mansoor was the best among the 128 number of players who participated in the Pool Association of Uganda grand opening championship which took place over the weekend at Pot it Billiard center in Kampala. The event was organised by the Association with the intensions of re-opening the pool activities which were put on hold since March last year due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Bwanika Mansoor out smarted Gumikiriza Alfred also the current National team captain of the Uganda Pool Cranes team and a one time national champion in the year 2012 and a finalist in the national open in the year 2015, Bwanika showed a good class when he won the finals with the scores of 9-4.

On the other hand Alfred showed a very good class in the championship after eliminating some of the on form top players in the country like Chandiga Ceaser seed number two and Settumba Geofrey to make it to the finals of which he lost though to some analysts Alfred was so good even to win due to the fact that he lasted for almost a year without being in any big event when he was battling with Cancer disease.

Its however should be put on record that after losing this championship we shall expect more good of him on the table and soon we may see many money matches among the best players in the country. While on Facebook Blacksheep wrote,

“Greetings pool Fraternity, For the past 3days I have been participating in the first PAU championship of the year. Unfortunately I lost to the finals 4-9 at Pot it .

I would like to appreciate the Pool Association Of Uganda’s efforts in trying to put pool back on the table. The event was such a wow considering these trying moments of the pandemic. Kudos to the Executive Committee, the officials and the sponsors hoping to see such arrangements take their course going forward.

I also commend all players in both the ladies and gents categories for honoring the event. The great exhibitions made it a joy for the fans and the performance was worth the big stage inspite of the financial hardships and absence of competitive pool that affected all sportsmen careers worldwide.

To the fans, thanks for following the event wherever you’re residing. Buying data bundles to follow the proceedings was a sign of hope that you still love the players and the sport. I congratulate Bwanika Mansoor and Mutesi Rashidah for sqooping the gents and ladies trophies respectively, You truly deserved winners after putting such a billiant performance. Looking forward for the future”
