Carnival City goes Super Sweet with 24th birthday car mania promotion

Carnival City, Gauteng’s playground destination is celebrating 24-years since first opening its doors and the grand curtain drop of the Big Top Arena in 1999.

Driving the excitement as Carnival City celebrates their Super Sweet 24th birthday are giveaways worth R3.8-million in cash and 10 car draws in the CAR MANIA promotion until October 29. For the first time, the casino is giving winners the option to choose their prize – a choice between a Polo Vivo, Toyota Starlet or R200,000 cash.

Selloane Maleme, from the East Rand, was the first winner in the Super Sweet 24 Birthday Car Mania giveaway on Saturday, September 2, opting to take the cash. She was very excited and did not believe her choice of briefcase would lead to winning the vehicle.

On Saturday, September 9, N.M Manganyi became the second winner, who was overjoyed to drive away in a blue Polo Vivo, as she had been in the market for new wheels for some time.

Ten cars are up for grabs, the biggest number of vehicles in any promotion in the past decade, according to Carnival City General Manager Annemie Turk.

“There will be weekly Car and Cash draws to the grand car giveaway. Punters can earn points and claim draw tickets to participate in the exhilarating draws held every Saturday.”

The excitement culminates with the final draw on Sunday October 29 where there will be cake and celebrations throughout the complex.

“We are inviting our guests to celebrate our birthday with us, they are part of our Carnival family,” said Turk.

Sun International’s Carnival City casino is world-class, with an exciting variety of slots and 57 table games, comprising American Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and Poker.

Carnival City unleashes the fun and a brand-new vehicle

One lucky punter drove away in new wheels in Carnival City’s finale of the Unleash the Fun promotion, which ended last month.

Mrs Ching Chang was selected from 10 finalists as the winner of a brand new Suzuki Jimny 4×4. Each guest chose an envelope containing a prize card, nine of which were cash prizes of R5 000 or R10 000 denominations, and one of which was the car.

“I am extremely happy and could not believe that I had won,”

– Mrs Ching Chang said. She is gifting the car to her much-loved son Jonathan.

To be eligible for the car draw, MVG silver, gold and platinum card holders received one ticket for every 50 points gained in the Casino between May 1 and August 20. During the promotion, a total of R1,66-million was given away.
