CASINO SOUTH AFRICA COSATU North West welcomes the decision to retain the casino license in Mafikeng 1 year ago Samuel Post Views: 327 The Congress of South African Trade Unions in the North West province is excited by the Gambling Board’s decision to refuse Peermont permission to remove the casino license from the possession of the facility in Mafikeng and grant it to Rustenburg. As COSATU we welcome this decision, as the move would have had dire consequences to the people of Mafikeng, particularly the workers who are employed by the casino. It was further going to create overcrowding of casinos in the Bojanala area. We view this as a victory for the people of Mafikeng and the workers who are employed in that sector. We also commend the Gambling Board for applying their minds and acting in a responsible manner.
