Didas Tayebwa Kambumbuza will speak on SBEA+ in Uganda

We present the profile of an industry Didas Tayebwa Kambumbuza from Uganda,  specialist with long experience and experience in operational activities in the field of slot machine service in his country.

Mr Didas Tayebwa is iGaming expert with over 12 years of experience in sports betting, virtual games, and casinos. His area of expertise includes business development, operations, sales, marketing, and product management. Currently he has function the Operations manager at Buffalo consultants ltd a leading, and sole Kajot machine distributor in East Africa based in Kampala.

Didas Tayebwa:

Before I got here, this is my story. I joined gambling industry in 2009, as a young man from high school waiting to join the University though I did not have any hope of joining university because my parents could not afford the tuition since even my brother was seated home because there was no money to pay his tuition

AS an ambitious young man I could not allow being home idle like my brother, I then decided to apply for a job as a cashier/terminal operator at Sports Betting Africa then it was the only legal betting company in Uganda.unfortenately there were no open vacancies, so back in my mind i got an idea to write a proposal to the sales manager proposing to him to allow me work as a mobile cashier and on commission not salary like the rest, I was offered that and it was the beginning of my career in the gambling industry.

Because I managed to teach and bring more customers on board even those that were very negative about betting ended up becoming gamblers. With the 9% commission I was getting I managed to pay my tuition for the university and I attained my first degree in Environmental science from Makerere university.

Following my success as an outside agent to the company I was later promoted to a product manager and sales supervisor positions

I then joined forte bet in 2013 as a regional manager hired to specifically expand the company’s operation in western Uganda which I did very well as I was able to open over 50 branches in region during my tenure.

Currently am the operations manager Buffalo Consultants ltd the position I have held since 2019 as I briefly mentioned above.
