Having kicked off their 2021-22 Bundesliga seasons in contrasting fashions, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich prepare for a Klassiker battle in Tuesday evening’s DFL-Supercup battle. Overall, this will be Bayern Munich’s ninth-ever Supercup H2H vs Dortmund. Three of the preceding four have stood level at the break, while each of the last four to see a HT leader saw the team in question go on to win. In fact, you would have to go back to 1989 – the very first Supercup H2H – to find the last time any HT leader in a Supercup final failed to lift the trophy.
