Evolution Gaming opens up markets in Africa with Turfsport

The international live casino service provider Evolution Gaming is expanding its influence on the African gambling markets. Evolution Services South Africa, a cooperation project between Evolution Gaming and its subsidiary Ezugi, has signed a distribution agreement with Turfsport.

The leading provider of betting software in South Africa and other African countries announced this week.
While Evolution Gaming is expanding its offerings in South Africa and other African markets, South African legislators are currently discussing tightening gambling laws.

Online gambling is only legal to a limited extent in South Africa. Non-licensed operators from abroad are not allowed to offer their services on the South African market. However, the implementation of the corresponding ban is difficult. This fact became clear recently at a hearing with industry representatives and legislators.

Illegal online offers would continue to be used on a large scale. According to the South African National Gambling Board, it is therefore urgently necessary to close the corresponding gaps in the law.

A superb choice for African operators

The cooperation includes omnichannel betting and solutions for live dealer casinos for points of sale and online offers. Turfsport related online providers would now have the choice between Live Dealer Games from Ezugi and Evolution. The available titles include Mega Ball, Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette as well as classics such as Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat.

Velasen Naidoo, managing director at Turfsport, was optimistic about the move:

With our over 35-year history in the African online gambling industry, we have much experience to make new and existing operators successful market leaders. We are confident that the rich mix of live dealer games and retail sports betting from Ezugi and Evolution will be a very significant and exciting incentive for operators and players alike.

The heads of Evolution Services South Africa and Ezugi, Dean Finder and Kfir Kugler, also expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation. Through cooperation, players in African countries would now have access to Evolution games on multiple channels.
