GHANA Ghana – Journalists to converge for Betway sports writers conference 4 years ago Samuel Post Views: 642 Journalists from across Ghana will be heading to Accra and Kumasi for the maiden edition of the Betway Sports Writers Conference, which is being organised by the leading online sports betting company, Betway, with support from SWAG – the Umbrella Body of Sports Writers in Ghana. The two-region Betway Sports Writer’s Conference will be held on the 5th and 7th February 2020 in Kumasi and Accra respectively. The conference will focus on equipping sports journalists with knowledge in live sports broadcasting, pre-game analysis, conducting post and pre-game interviews as well as bringing them up to speed with global sports broadcasting standards. SWAG Vice-President Maurice Quansah along with other seasoned veterans in sports reporting in Ghana will take young budding journalists through tactics, and engage in sessions of skill development with them. Best practices to be deployed in the ongoing Ghana Premier League will also be discussed with club communication officers present.
