ONLINE WORLD NEWS GREENTUBE-owned StarGames is preparing for German market entry 2 months ago Iwo Bulski Post Views: 142 Greentube’s online gaming site StarGames, known in the industry as the first brand to offer the original Book of Ra™ title to online players in the German market, is set to apply for a nationwide licence in the country as new legislation comes into effect in July 2021. The brand – now owned by Greentube Malta – has experience in the German market through its licensed operations in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. In anticipation of the expansion in the newly regulated German online gaming market, the operator recently released a landing page, which allows those interested to stay up to date with the latest developments around the brand. As part of the preparations to enter the German market, StarGames is taking all steps necessary to ensure that its offering is compliant with the latest Responsible Gaming guidelines and regulations introduced to promote social responsibility and to minimise gambling-related harm. These new regulations include a “reality check” functionality, five-seconds spin intervals, cooling-off periods, a monthly deposit limit, stake and time limits as well as a ban on autoplay and progressive jackpots. “We’re very excited about being able to fully operate in the regulated German market, and for players across the whole of Germany to be able to enjoy the fresh StarGames”, – said Trevor De Giorgio, Managing Director of Greentube Malta. “We proved before in Schleswig-Holstein that we have the games, the technology, the knowhow and the security to offer players transparent, safe, top-quality gaming. While the new regulations certainly bring with them new challenges, we’re looking forward to once again delivering the best product and entertainment possible.” Greentube Malta Ltd. will continue operating the brand, as it is currently doing in Schleswig-Holstein, and is currently applying for a Malta Gaming Authority licence. The company will also apply for a German online gaming licence as soon as such an opportunity will be made available. Laszlo Pados, Brand Manager at Greentube, added: “There’s still a long way to go until the German market opens next July, but we’re already working on a lot of exciting features to make sure that the new version of StarGames.de will be a true market leader in the eyes of our customers.” StarGames has yet to announce an official launch date for the new website, but updates on the new project can be found on the landing page. StarGames is a leading provider of premium entertainment with years of experience in online gaming. Next to all the classic and new slots from NOVO LINE™ such as Book of Ra™ deluxe, Lucky Lady’s Charm™ or Sizzling Hot™, players will be able to also enjoy top content from famous game studios around the world. StarGames is currently licensed in Schleswig-Holstein, as well as applying to be licensed with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).
