ITHUBA confirms R100 million LOTTO winner bought ticket at Pick n Pay

ITHUBA, operators of the National Lottery in South Africa, has confirmed that after 25 consecutive rollovers, the R100 million guaranteed LOTTO jackpot from draw number 2461 held on Saturday, 3 August, was won by one lucky player.

A search has narrowed down that the winning ticket was purchased at a Pick n Pay store in Gauteng.

ITHUBA has called on all Gauteng participants to check their tickets and see if they hold the winning ticket.

Charmaine Mabuza, the CEO of ITHUBA, exclaimed,

“This monumental win marks the second-largest jackpot in the history of LOTTO. We are overjoyed and can’t wait to meet the lucky winner. We urge everyone who bought their tickets at Pick n Pay stores in Gauteng to check their tickets immediately. This could be your moment of a lifetime.”

The guaranteed R100 million LOTTO jackpot stands as the second-largest LOTTO jackpot.

The highest was R110 million which was shared among four lucky winners in January 2018.

Mabuza added:

“Our dedicated team is waiting with anticipation to receive the winner to ensure a seamless claim process and transition into their new multi-millionaire status.”
