The equipment included personal protective equipment (PPE), wheelchairs and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds. Nyamira has witnessed a steady rise in COVID-19 infections despite concerted efforts to curb its sprea. With the cognizance of what is needed to prevail in the already protracted fight against the pandemic, Mozzart Bet has extended support to Nyamira by ensuring that medical personnel who are first-line responders are protected from the virus. To receive the equipment, Nyamira County Executive in charge of Health Gladys Momanyi, among other dignitaries. “This is a good gesture, especially at a time when this pandemic has taken a toll on us. So, all I can say is that, as a county government, we do not take this initiative for granted. On behalf of Governor Amos Nyaribo, I thank Mozzart Bet. We will ensure everything is transparently used to benefit the people of Nyamira” – Momanyi said. Lending support amid pandemic Mozzart Bet Country Manager Sasa Krneta said that this is the right time to stand with each other and offer any available support to fellow citizens. “As Mozzart, we have done exactly that since the pandemic struck early 2020. Therefore, we are very pleased to present our donation of equipment worth KSh 3,015,500 million to Nyamira county to help them curb the spread of coronavirus” – Krneta explained. He expressed confidence that all health facilities in the county will benefit from the donation as the gaming firm moves to help fight the dreaded virus. Mozzart Bet has spent over KSh 53 million supporting healthcare facilities in different counties over the last three years. The company has also spent KSh 15 million to dig fresh water wells in various parts of the country. The company paid tribute to the government for creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive even during tough times, as currently witnessed. In addition, the country manager avowed to continue the company’s Community Social Responsibility (CSR). “We are very thankful to the government for creating an enabling environment to ensure our business remains afloat even in these tough times and we will always be ready when called upon to support various projects within Kenyan communities,” – added Krneta.
