EXPERTS NIGERIA Nigerian Lottery Regulatory Commission: Who else can protect you? 2 years ago Szarlot Post Views: 310 If you live in Nigeria and you’re a lottery enthusiast or a fan of gambling activities, then you may have asked who protects your rights as a player. Well, just like in other countries where gambling is legal, Nigeria has a regulatory body known as the National Lottery Regulatory Commission. The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) was founded in 2005 with the passage of the National Lottery Act. The Commission was established to oversee lottery operations, promote accountability and transparency in the lottery industry, and defend the interests of stakeholders, lottery players, and the general public. The NLRC is devoted to long-term, transparent lotteries that are motivated by the professionalism and cutting-edge technology for both social and economic growth while also addressing stakeholder needs. In other words, this license protects you from scammers. The main job of the commission is to review casino licensing applications and appeals from the Secretary of Internal Affairs’ licensing and to enforce decisions in regards to gaming machines and other gambling activities that are non-casino related.
