BETTING GHANA “Partnership with betPawa is in full force” – Kurt Okraku 8 months ago Samuel Post Views: 365 President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, says his administration’s relationship with betPawa is still intact despite the latter pulling out as the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League. The betting company penned a deal to be the headliners for Ghana’s top-flight football but withdrew their package at some point in the 2023/24 season. The withdrawal raised concerns about the worthy course of the project having lost the headline supporters. However, Okraku has assured the GFA and betPawa will continue to work together for the upcoming season despite them not continuing as headliners. He also revealed talks are in place with the bookmaker to extend some of its support to the Women’s Premier League. “Our partnership with betPawa is in full force,” – said Okraku during his address at the GFA’s 30th Ordinary Congress. “At the minute, we are engaging betPawa to support us in other areas. The locker room bonus will stay. We are also currently engaging them to include players from our Women’s Premier League.” The new Ghana Premier League season is set to commence on September 6.
