The Pool Association of Uganda’s technical committee had shortlisted about 24 players, 12 from each gender, for the two-day trials that ended with a round-robin mini-league on Sunday at Tickles and Giggles bar in Kampala. “All players who progressed from Saturday’s selections were subjected to a round-robin league action amongst the team, leading to results shown on the table,” – the Pool Association of Uganda announced. Among the big names that have been slashed from the team include former national team captain Victoria Namuyanja, who failed on grounds of discipline. Namuyanja failed to keep time and could not present her travel documents in time with no communication. “The top eight in each gender category will, therefore, proceed with training.
