Uganda Offer Akon Land to Build Second CryptoCurrency Based City

The Uganda government has allocated one square mile of land to Akon to build a cryptocurrency-based city and his second planned futuristic city in Africa, which is expected to be completed by 2036 and will operate on Akoin’s cryptocurrency.

The R&B artist Akon has yet to come anywhere close to realizing his ambitious vision for a futuristic city powered by a cryptocurrency called “Akoin” and built on land given to him by the Senegalese government. But that has not deterred the “Smack that” singer from making plans to build a second Akon city, this time in Uganda. The East African nation has agreed to identify a place suitable in Uganda. That has not less than one square mile, which will be made available to him and his team,” confirming the report Isaac Musumba, Uganda minister for Urban development said at a news conference.

Akoin will be in charge of attracting investment and managing the project and will consult with the Ugandan government to come up with a theme for the “Satellite city”

“We would like to emulate what has been done elsewhere for us to have an Akon City here.” – Musumba said according to local media.

A Missouri native whose family hails from Senegal Akon 47, has spoken expansively about his desire to create a real-life version Wakanda, the futuristic African Kingdom portrayed in Marvels Black Panther.” His plans for the first Akon City involves building luxury condominiums, seaside resort, office parks and even university in tubular seemingly gravity-defying skyscrapers that resembles molten metal, intended as an update destination for Black Americans. Akon City will be solar-powered and environmentally friendly, he has said. Residents and visitors will be able to purchase with Akoin, which he envisions as a global currency. However, as reported previously by E-play Africa, The Akoin cryptocurrency has also launched in Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC) as an Akon city pilot.

The MMTC is a $2 billion metropolis centred on a 5,000 bed medical and technology complex located in Kenya Kakamega County, its website describes. The Akoin cryptocurrency project will see the use of Akoin crypto used throughout the centre. As mentioned, the MMTC is a $2 billion metropolis centred. The medical complex is expected to be launched before the end of the year, will accommodate 35,000 and over 2,000 merchants.

That will see the Akoin cryptocurrency system implemented, and it has been used as the means to serve as the currency that they will use throughout the centre. In essence, the centre would be the exclusive cryptocurrency for Akoin. This centre serves as a testing ground for Akoin currency before moving into Akon city. The R&B star vision is to turn Africa into a cryptocurrency ecosystem within the next decade.
